Born and Educated in Wellington I qualified in Lithography as a Typographer and Finished Artist in the Printing Industry. This experience lead me in the direction of Graphic Art, Illustration and Fine Arts to give me an all-round creative lifestyle.

Illustration
After completing a course in Cartooning and Illustration at the NSW School of Journalism in Australia, I moved into freelance illustrating, incorporating a ‘fun’ element into my passion for art.

My work has featured on front covers of national magazines and in numerous forms of other printed media. I have produced commissioned work for a wide range of clients from MP’s to fast-food companies.

Fine Arts
My main styles are water-colours and acrylics and I sometimes work with chalk-pastils. I am largely a self-taught painter whose works have been described as having fine detail, excellent design, brushwork, perspective and use of colour.

Having spent many years sailing in New Zealand and Australia, I have a preference for maritime art and the sea.

Whilst maritime art is my prime source of inspiration, I also like to work in many other genres. I have exhibited and sold work at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, Antrim House, Kinkara Gallery, Heritage Gallery and Naxos Gallery in Wellington.
